Nuvei will support Betsson’s proprietary online sportsbook, Betsafe, which made its US debut earlier this year, launching in Colorado.
Betsson is looking to leverage Nuvei’s products to reinforce its position in the Centennial State, where Betsafe went live in March.
Colorado bettors will be able to instantly deposit money from their bank accounts into their Betsafe wallets via Nuvei’s Instant Bank Transfer product. Conversely, players will also be able to make instant withdrawals.
“We’re committed to offering our players the best gaming experience in the market and payments plays a critical role in delivering that vision,” said Betsson’s Managing Director for the US, Marina Bogard.
“Integrating Nuvei Instant Bank Transfer into our checkout not only gives our players more choice as to their preferred deposit method, it also enables them to request payouts in real-time which we know they demand.”
Betsafe arrived in Colorado, and by extension the US, on 29 March. This launch came alongside an office opened by Betsson in Downtown Denver, primarily to support regional B2B operations.
By integrating Nuvei’s payments technology, Betsson joins big-name US sports betting brands like DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM, all of whom have partnered with the provider.
Philip Fayer, Nuvei’s Chair and CEO, commented: “Betsson has a global reputation as a leader in the gaming industry, which is why we are excited to be supporting them as they grow their presence following a successful launch in the US market.
“Instant, convenient, deposits and real-time payouts are absolutely essential to meet US players’ demands of their sports betting platforms.
He added: “Already in 2022 we have partnered with some of the most significant operators in the exciting US gaming landscape as it develops at pace, and Betsson certainly falls into that category.”
